An NSS orientation programme was conducted after selecting 50 volunteers from different departments for the NSS unit. The programme began with a welcome address by the NSS Coordinator, Indu Ma’am, who warmly welcomed the newly selected volunteers to the NSS family. The boy and girl leaders from the Plus Two class introduced the students to the various activities and functioning of the NSS unit in the school. An ice-breaking session was also conducted, where the volunteers introduced themselves and interacted with one another. Later, the selection of NSS leaders was conducted. The students who were interested in becoming leaders were given topics and opportunities to express their ideas through short speeches, based on which the leaders were selected. Participating in the orientation and leadership selection programme was a valuable and enjoyable experience that helped us develop confidence, communication skills, and leadership qualities.
