OTTAPALAM SUB-DISTRICT SPORTS MEET
NSS KPT VHSS, Ottapalam, served as the venue for the three-day Ottapalam Sub-District Sports Meet. Students and teachers from various schools across the sub-district gathered at the school to participate in the event. The meet featured various athletic and sports competitions, showcasing the talents, teamwork and sportsmanship of the participants. The event provided an opportunity for students to demonstrate their abilities and promoted unity and healthy competition among schools. The programme was a memorable experience for everyone involved.
INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION @ NSSKPT OTTAPALAM
As part of our teaching practice, we, the trainee teachers, organised the Independence Day celebration at the school. The programme began with flag hoisting, followed by cultural programmes presented by the students. Later, the trainee teachers also presented various programmes to commemorate the day. The celebration fostered patriotism, unity and respect for our nation's freedom fighters. The event was a memorable experience for both students and trainee teachers.
NSS DAY ACTIVITY@NSSKPT OTTAPALAM
As part of NSS Day observance, the NSS volunteers of the VHSS section distributed food to patients and bystanders at Taluk Hospital, Ottapalam on 24/09/2026. The activity aimed to promote the values of service, compassion and social responsibility among students. Through this initiative, the volunteers demonstrated the importance of helping those in need and serving society. The activity was a meaningful experience that reflected the spirit of the National Service Scheme.
EYESIGHT DAY @NSSKPT OTTAPALAM
World Sight Day was observed at the school to create awareness about the importance of eyesight. As part of the activity, students' eyes were covered with cloth for a short time to help them understand the difficulties faced by people with visual impairment. The activity highlighted the value of vision and encouraged students to develop empathy and concern for others. It was an informative experience that promoted awareness about eye health and the importance of protecting eyesight.
LIBRARY CLEANING @NSSKPT OTTAPALAM
As part of our beyond classroom activity, we, the trainee teachers, actively participated in cleaning and organising the school library on 13/08/2026. We arranged books and ensured that the library space was neat and tidy. The activity helped us understand the importance of cleanliness, teamwork and maintaining a positive learning environment in schools.
ARTS DAY CELEBRATION @NSS KPT VHSS, OTTAPALAM
The Arts Day celebration of NSS KPT VHSS, Ottapalam, was conducted as a two-day programme (10/09/2026 & 11/09/2026) with great enthusiasm. Students actively participated in various cultural and artistic performances, showcasing their talents and creativity. The programme provided a platform for students to express themselves, develop confidence and promote teamwork. The celebration was a memorable experience that encouraged artistic expression and appreciation of culture.
