 ​A Basheer Day Quiz and Book Review program was organized by the Malayalam Department at KVR Shornur School on July 9 and 13, 2026. Selected students from both the High School and Upper Primary (UP) sections actively participated in the event.

  Moon Day Celebration @LSNGHS, Ottapalam On 21 July 2026, the Moon Day Celebration was organized at LSNGHS, Ottapalam, to create scientific awareness and foster enthusiasm for space exploration among school students. As part of the initiative, three students were dressed up as astronauts equipped with space helmets and suits. They visited various classrooms across the school to introduce themselves, interact with their peers, and share key facts about lunar missions and space discovery. To provide an engaging visual experience, a working model of an ISRO rocket launch complete with realistic lighting and launch setup alongside a detailed 3D model of the Moon's surface depicting craters, was demonstrated to the students in their classrooms. Fresher's Day @ LSNGHSS, Ottapalam On 28 July 2026, Fresher's Day was organized by the Plus Two students to warmly welcome the newly admitted Plus One students at LSNGHSS, Ottapalam. The programme was held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:40 p.m. The event featured a variety of cultural performances by the Plus Two students, including dance, songs, and piano performances, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. The programme provided an opportunity for the newcomers to interact with their seniors and become familiar with the school environment. We, the Physical Science training teachers of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, accompanied the students for the programme and participated in the event. The Freshers' Day celebration concluded successfully, fostering friendship, unity, and a sense of belonging among the students.

Malayala Manorama Vayana Kalari @ LSNGHSS, Ottapalam On 29 July 2026, Malayala Manorama, in association with the Royal Group, launched the Malayala Manorama Vayana Kalari programme at LSNGHSS, Ottapalam. As part of the initiative to promote reading habits and enhance students' awareness of current affairs, 10 copies of the Malayala Manorama newspaper were donated to the school. The programme was inaugurated by Shri P. V. Hamza, Chairman, Royal Group. Smt. Asha Abraham, Principal, LSNGHSS, Ottapalam, presided over the function and delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the importance of developing a regular reading habit among students.   Lunar Day Drawing Competition As part of the Moon Day celebrations, the Physical Science training teachers of NSS Training College, Ottapalam organized a Drawing Competition on 21 July 2026 at LSNGHSS, Ottapalam. The competition was based on the theme "Living Under the Lunar Sky", encouraging students to express their creativity and imagination about life on the Moon through art. The competition received enthusiastic participation from students, who presented creative and original artworks reflecting the given theme. The entries were judged on creativity, originality, and relevance to the topic. The results were announced on 28 July 2026 during the morning assembly. Smt. Asha Abraham, Principal, LSNGHSS, Ottapalam, distributed the prizes to the winners and appreciated all the participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
