 Moon Day Celebration @LSNGHS, Ottapalam

On 21 July 2026, the Moon Day Celebration was organized at LSNGHS, Ottapalam, to create scientific awareness and foster enthusiasm for space exploration among school students.

As part of the initiative, three students were dressed up as astronauts equipped with space helmets and suits. They visited various classrooms across the school to introduce themselves, interact with their peers, and share key facts about lunar missions and space discovery.

To provide an engaging visual experience, a working model of an ISRO rocket launch complete with realistic lighting and launch setup alongside a detailed 3D model of the Moon's surface depicting craters, was demonstrated to the students in their classrooms. In addition, a collage competition and a space quiz competition were conducted to encourage creative expression and test the students' knowledge of astronomy.

We, as the science training teachers of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, accompanied the students, demonstrated the working models, and actively participated in coordinating the event.

The programme was well received by the school community, succeeding in sparking curiosity and scientific temper among the students. The event concluded on a highly successful and inspiring note.

  Arts day@LSNGHS, Ottapalam  A vibrant two-day Arts Day festival was celebrated at LSNGHS Ottapalam on Friday, July 31, 2026, and Saturday, August 1, 2026, offering students a creative platform to showcase their musical, vocal, and dance talents across multiple stages. The event opened in the Verona Auditorium with a formal inaugural ceremony where the official Arts Day logo was presented to the gathering, followed by the announcement and awarding of prizes to the winning class that designed the emblem. The first day was dedicated to vocal and musical competitions, featuring solo and group performances such as light music, classical vocal, group songs, patriotic songs, folk songs (nadanpattu), poem recitation, and mappilapattu.
