 *Gandhi Jayanti Quiz Competition* *Date:* [1st October 2024,Tuesday ] 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲: School auditorium, KPSMM HSS Varode, Ottapalam  *Organizers:* Murali D, Arjun Jayadas, and Febina *Participants:* 6 teams from Plus One and Plus TwoTo commemorate Gandhi Jayanti, a quiz competition was conducted to promote academic excellence, teamwork, and healthy competition among students. *Competition Structure:* - 6 teams participated, representing Plus One and Plus Two. - 3 rounds, with 2 teams eliminated in first round. - 1 teams eliminated in round 2  - total of 15 questions were asked, 5 in each round. *Winners:* 1. *1st Place:* Angel Joseph and Ayisha Fathima (Plus One Science) 2. *2nd Place:* Safvan and Shanif (Plus Two Science) 3. *3rd Place:* Sneha and Asma Dilfa (Plus One Commerce)

 A workshop on agarbatti making was held at KPSMMHSS, Varode, organized by NSS College trainees. The event, held between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM, aimed to impart practical skills and inspire creativity among Plus One students. Mr. Rizwan, a Plus One student, demonstrated his expertise in agarbatti making at the Jilla level. He introduced the raw materials, explained the steps, and guided the students through the process. After the demonstration, the students engaged in a hands-on session, making their own agarbattis. The workshop enhanced students' understanding of the craft and sparked entrepreneurial ideas. The event ended with positive feedback from participants and faculty, marking a successful initiative by the NSS trainees.

A Physical Education Programme was conducted at KPSMMHSS Varode by NSS training college trainees . The programme aimed to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and understanding of a healthy lifestyle among higher secondary students. The session was led by Nima, a dynamic student from the Plus One class. The programme included warm-up sessions, main activities, and an educational talk by Nima. The event received enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from students and faculty. The NSS traines were commended for their meticulous planning and execution. Nima's leadership was appreciated for her engaging approach.  

Report - 22/11/2024 Film Festival  GVHSS Pathiripala  As part of the 8th Dialogue International Film Festival, a film screening and discussion was organized at GVHSS Pathiripala School. The film screening took place at 1:30 PM at the VHSE Building. The screening began at 2 PM with the participation of the Little Kites students of the school.The film screening and discussion was led by film society activist and film critic Jithin K.C. The short films " Arana Puranam" and " Kandittund " were screened. A discussion about the film was then held under the leadership of Jithin K.C. The children enjoyed the film and the discussion a lot and shared their ideas in the discussion. Many had questions related to photography to ask.Headmistress Mrs. Anitha Teacher and Principal Mr. Pramod Sir participated in the discussion and the program ended at 3:30 PM.

Report - 26/11/24 National Constitution Day  GVHSS Pathiripala  As part of the 75th Constitution Day, today we held a reading of the preamble to the Constitution and a Quiz Competition related to the Constitution at Pathiripala School.The program was held at 11:30 AM at 8 th F. The children were first told about the Indian Constitution and its features. After reading the preamble to the Constitution, a Quiz Competition was held. 10 questions were asked. All the children in the class actively participated in the Quiz. A boy named Ashiq won the first place.

  HSS ANANGANNADI  8/11/2024 The National Service Scheme volunteers in association with Palakkad District Hospital and HDFC Bank hosted a blood donation camp at HSS ANANGANNADI.

GVHSS Pathiripala 26/11/2024 On November 26, from exactly 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, a free mega medical camp was conducted at the higher secondary section of GVHSS Pathiripala School. The event was organized collaboratively by NMC Hospital Pathiripala, the NSS unit of the higher secondary section of Pathiripala School, and the trainee teachers of NSS Training College. During the camp, checks for HP, uric acid, sugar, and blood pressure (BP) were conducted. After the checks, there were consultations with doctors followed by the distribution of free medicines. Various teachers from the school, parents of the students, and residents of Pathiripala availed the free medical check-up. Subsequently, free check-ups were conducted for higher secondary students as well. The free medical camp extended approximately till 2:00 PM.

The  children's day programs were conducted and coordinated by us wherein we performed a dance and song followed by games for the students.

 As the part of the Constitution day, the electoral club was inaugrated by the sub-collector Dr. Midhun Raj IAS. 

 November 25 Monday As a part of blue army club of our college NSSTC Ottapalam we conducted a class on water conservation. Mr vishnu K V(B.Ed trainee) took class for 9 J students of TRK HSS Vaniyamkulam. Reasons for water scarcity, water pollution were discussed and the remedial measures for the same was also included in the class. The class was very interesting and values regarding water conservation was inculcated in students by the class.At the end of the class a quiz was conducted on the topic water conservation and Abhirudh of 9 J secured first postion

 November 22 Friday  As a part of beyond the class activities,a yoga practice programme had conducted for students of class 8N of TRKHSS Vaniyamkulam. The programme was conducted at IT lab of the school itself. Students were introduced with various yogic postures like Suryanamaskara, Vrikshasana etc and they were very much interested in performing those activities. Along with performance of practitioner, the particular pose was also displayed on the projector wall. Students had enjoyed the activities with much interest and curiosity.

 TRK HSS VANIAMKULAM November 20 Wednesday  In connection with Souhrida day, we organized an assembly. First, HM Rajeev sir addressed the assembly. Then, Sanu sir, the Souhrida club staff coordinator, gave a brief introduction about the club. Then, the first year students were introduced 10 life skills to the students. Later, these life skills were further explained through the lives of great personalities such as Stephen Hawking, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, Jawaharlal Nehru and Abraham Lincoln . After that, HM Rajeev sir, along with the senior teacher Mini, presented the Souhrida badge to the student coordinators of the first year and second year. The programme concluded with national anthem.

  In celebration of the Constitution Day, an essay writing competition was organised for students of classes 11 and 12. The event aimed to create awareness about the Indian Constitution, its values, and its significance in shaping our democracy. Participants were invited to write on the topic "The Indian Constitution and Social Justice: Bridging Inequalities in Contemporary India." Some participants wrote excellent essays that reflected a clear understanding of contemporary India.

  National Service Scheme volunteers organized an informative awareness class on First Aid for Class 8 students. The session was held on 18th November 2024 and aimed to enhance students’ knowledge and preparedness in handling medical emergencies effectively. The session was led by Ms. Athulya Manikandan, who delivered an insightful lecture covering various aspects of first aid.
